 The Christmas Present was web published by Godwin Cotter just before Christmas of 2015.  It was based on an incident that happened to Godwin in grade 2 when he stealthily examined his poorly hidden birthday presents hours before his birthday party.  It ended up being a disappointing day, as the surprise and anticipation had be taken away by the folly of youth. 

     As a lifetime lover of drawing and writing comics, Godwin retold this childhood incident with a Christmas theme in hopes of adding to is some spiritual metaphorical meaning.

     Godwin Cotter still lives in Winnipeg, with his wife Maria and two children.   What has changed for them since 2015 is the children are now avid amateur artists and writers also.
